About Kashmir Artisan Store

Kashmir Artisan Store is a direct-to-artisan marketplace for the six GI-tagged crafts of the Kashmir valley — Pashmina, Sozani, Papier-Mâché, Walnut Wood, Saffron and hand-knotted Carpets.

Our promise

• Paid first. Every artisan is paid the moment an order is confirmed — not after shipping, not after returns.
• Signed by the maker. Every piece ships with a provenance card naming the artisan, their cluster, and the hours of work it took.
• GI-verified. All pashmina, saffron, papier-mâché and walnut wood carry their Geographical Indications registration number.

Where we came from

The store began in 2024 as a weekend experiment between a weaver from Kanihama and a product designer in Srinagar. Today we represent over forty artisan households across the valley.
